We have a busy calendar of fun events for our members scheduled
throughout the year. You don't have to be a member to attend but
we'll be armed with membership forms and if you'd like to join
we'll strongly encourage it! If you've never been along to one

2009
October
- Saturday 10th
- Islington Slouch
Making a weekend of the Sixth Hitchhiker book launch (see Sunday 11th).
ZZ9 will be slouching around Islington, looking at places that inspired parts of the Hitchhiker and Dirk Gently stories. Meet at 13:00 at Archway tube station to go and see where Douglas wrote the first Hitchhiker book before we head down to Islington.
- Captain's Cabin Party
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the publication of the first Hitchhiker book, ZZ9 have booked a chunk of the upstairs at the Captain's Cabin, which is just round the corner from the site of the Paris Theatre where the first two radio series were recorded and the pub was frequented by cast and crew after recordings.

Norwich is an intriguing city with mysterious ancient walls. This should be a most excellent adventure.

The Annual General Meeting of ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha starts at 13:00 at the Lord Nelson pub, 36 Trafalgar Street, Brighton, BN1 4ED.
This is your chance to influence how the society is run. See MH113 and MH114 for details of how to get involved, being there, standing for committee, postal voting etc.
December

Meet at 13:00 at the exit doors to Cambridge train station.
Cambridge is a place full of locations connected to Douglas Adams: his birthplace, his old college, and other locations that influenced his writing, we may even find where the TARDIS landed when they filmed Shada (see MH106).
